Description

Bluetooth speaker 1958 Radiola model RA389T transistor radio.

This is a French radio that now works in any country and on any voltage!

A BRIEF HISTORY: Radiola is one of the most iconic late 50’s radio in France! They were on every picnic rug from the mid 1950’s to the 1970’s! It’s styling alone made in an instant classic. Sadly very few of these beautiful radios made it to today!

THE CONVERSION: Designed and built by American husband and wife team, Jane and John Griffin, with over 30 years experience making audio systems. We are based in a small village deep in the wine region in the South of France and all our systems are slowly and carefully hand crafted to sound and look great!

We take these vintage radios and give them life again. There are very few AM stations around so the use for a tube/valve AM radio is limited other than an amazing looking piece of furniture. Sadly this is not enough to save these classic and rare pieces of engineering and architecture. Many are lost and damaged beyond repair just sitting in barns and attics. Many are stripped for their case to make lamps and sadly some Bluetooth radio conversions.

The original transistor workings of the radio are left intact but unused and the bluetooth technology added.
