teach me wrong from right,
Read me bedtime stories and tuck me in each night.
Fill my mind with wonder and my little heart with love,
Teach me about Jesus, how He sent me from above.
Help me to always understand the things I need to know,
For it's you who I'll be watching each day as I grow,
And I'll want to be just like you when I'm all grown up someday,
So take my little hand in yours and lead me on my way!!

Walk beside me Daddy,
take my hand and hold on tight,
Help me to always understand, teach me wrong from right.
Fill my mind with wonder, laugh with me each day,
Teach me about Jesus, kneel beside me as I pray,
Read me bedtime stories, tuck me in, kiss me goodnight,
Tell me that you love me with each new mornings light.
Wrap your arms around me, guide me as I grow,
Fill my little heart with love and all that love bestows,
Then someday when I'm all grown up and walking in your shoes,
I can say "Because of Daddy, I know just what to do."

in your arms when I arrived
I knew how much you loved me by the teardrops in your eyes
I could feel it in your gentle touch... the way you kissed my cheek

because of who you are,
A kind and caring person with a kind and caring heart.
With gentle hands to lead me as you guide me on my way,
With a voice that will encourage as I grow and learn in faith.
With a shoulder made for leaning should the need ever arise,
Endless love that will inspire as I journey through this life.
Like the stars that light the Heavens, your love will show the way,
And I know with you beside me I am more blessed than words can say!!

Like the stars that light the
Heavens for the angels up above,
A father takes a little hand and fills a heart with love.
Handpicked by God in Heaven to raise his family,
His tender heart so gentle that all the world can see.
Teaching by example in so many different ways,
His endless love inspires as his strength instills great faith.
An angel here from Heaven, whose wings cannot be seen...
He is treasured beyond measure, he is all that love should be.

Daddy says that I brought heavens
light to earth with me that day
He says he felt his whole world changing, knew he'd never be the same
Says he was wrapped around my finger from the moment I arrived
Says when they laid me in his arms the love he felt inside
Was different than he'd ever known or dreamed that he could feel
He says all it took was just one look for me his heart to steal...
He says I'll have to be grown up to fully comprehend
Though he's not in any hurry for my "little years" to end
And though he thinks there is no way that I could understand...
That's exactly how I feel each time he holds my hand!!!
