This art tile, featuring a stylized salmon, is a very striking, modern work done by Joe Wilson. He is a First Nation artist whose work is NW native indian style. A biography that I found said that he was born in 1966 in the Vancouver area. His work is considered to be Salish (original settlers of the Northwest region of Canada and the United States).

The colors used for this tile are beautifully bold! Dark and medium blues, red and black on a white background. It could be used in almost any room--from kitchen to den to bathroom. The tile has been set in wooden frame and is ready to hang. One of the photos shows the way the wood gleams when the light catches it just right. There is a small scratch in the frame at the bottom-left.
