Medium Hand Forged Pure Iron Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer, Viking Pendant.

A Thor's hammer with a clean contemporary look for those of you who prefer to wear clean simplicity over ornament.

This Mjolnir pendant combines the ridge introduced by our most popular ringed Mjolnir and the historical way of wrapping the tang onto itself to for the loop for the cord.
This is a heavier pendant and is suspended on the thicker 2mm leather or cotton cord. The length of the necklace can be adjusted. It has been forged by hand using traditional blacksmithing methods out of pure iron, a material that is rare, even among blacksmith jewellers like myself. Most ironwork is usually steel. Protected with three layers from the elements.

All our metal work (apart from chains) is made exclusively by either myself or my husband. We do not outsource any part of our work, nor do we sell our work wholesale.

Each pendant is individually hand forged, so minor differences in size, shape and texture may occur. I am more than happy to photograph currently available options on request.

The length of the necklace is adjustable from 28 inches down to 16 inches.

Wearing iron jewellery

Iron, by its very nature, is not permanent, but with care it can last for more than a lifetime. Our black iron pendants have three layers of protection, using the oldest methods in the blacksmith's book.

With time, wearing the pendant may rub the black surface off. If this ageing is not a look you prefer then you can return the pendant to me for refurbishment under guarantee. For the cost of shipping we can restore the pendant to look as new for as long as we are active.

The Adjustable Necklace

The pendant is hung on a dark oak brown 2 mm thick round leather cord. Leather is a natural product, so there will be variation in the strength of the cord. If the cord fails within a year, I will send a replacement for free. For those of you who would prefer something stronger, or more vegetarian I offer other options.

The cord has been tied with two sliding knots. By moving the knots you can choose the position you want to wear the pendant.
