Lovely hand-made phurba, or kila, made from sterling silver. A phurba is a three-sided knife or dagger used in rituals. It is associated with Tibetan, Nepali, Indian Vedic and Bon traditions.

It is also similar to a dorje, which can be both a weapon used in battle or a ritual object representing fitness of spirit and spiritual power. Buddhist and Hindu saints, gods, and Bodhisattva are often depicted holding one.

This piece features a deer on top of the three faces of Vajrakila (meditation diety), typical dorje ribs, a makara, and then the blade. A makara is a mythical creature with a long trunk, being a mix of different animals. The blade is not sharp and suitable to handle.

This is a very nice piece with heavy weight and intricate detail!
