Long leaf pine needles basketry dates back to Seminole Indian culture from Florida Everglades and the Coushatta Indians from Alabama.
I make my baskets by using the old coiling method, binding the bundles of pine needles with strong thread, integrating sliced black walnut shells and other decorations, then shellacking finished baskets for luster and durability.
My baskets and pine needle sculptures have won many blue ribbons and prizes in prestigious, jurried art shows.

This basket's purpose is to hold pens and pencils, or cosmetic brushes, or whatever your heart desires - it is very pretty and functional.

It is 5 and 1/2 " (13 and 1/2 cm) high,
width 7" (18 cm) with loops (on top),
4 and 3/4" (12 cm) x 3 and 1/2" ( 9 cm) at the bottom.

My pens and pencils were rolling on my desk all the time and I disliked that so much. One day I said, "No more," and designed this VERY functional piece. It is one of my top sellers at the craft shows!
This unique piece has four sliced walnut shells on the sides and one white freshwater pearl dangling from the loop. Basket can be washed in cold water.

Truly unique gift for Mother's Day, weddings, and graduations!

With each basket I include a free, small surprice gift from my crafts collection. I can send the order to a different address, upon request.

Please, check out other gifts in my shop: RenataUniqueGifts.etsy.com
and tell your friends about it.

Thank you very much.
