This surcoat has a old on Gold striped vertical pattern. One size fits most kids. It has a rounded neck, 64"/163 cm circumference at hem is ideal for easy movement. The side opening is 13" long. Material is light weight, soft, and comfortable. The ample room allows for this piece to fit the child for several years as they grow.

The sideless surcoat became popular in the 14th century and was worn as late as the early 16th century. They were worn as early as the late 12th century by peasants and commoners.

This piece is ideal for Renaissance festivals, Medieval faires, SCA events, and other theme events.

The surcoat is traditionally worn either belted or unbelted over a chemise dress. It can also be worn over long chemise tunic in warmer weather to allow additional airflow around the legs.

The surcoat is designed to be worn long, at ankle or floor length. If the surcoat is too long, it can be worn belted to pull up length to allow for growth, as the child gets taller.
