The necklace has a substantial look, ideal in a statement piece, but it is very light weight. The tagua nuts will be gentle and warm against your skin. The necklace is easily pulled in place with a sliding knot to give you options on the exact length of the necklace. The beads are up to 1 inch in size (2.5 cm). The length of the necklace is 28 inches long (72 cm) with a 3 inch bib in the front (7 cm).

Tagua, also known as vegetable ivory, is sustainably harvested in the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador. It shares many properties with elephant ivory: its very strong, light and takes a beautiful polish.

With the bold colors and styles we are known for, this piece of statement jewelry is made to our standards of Fair Trade, provides a sustainable income for our team in Ecuador, and only the highest quality, organic components. The purchase of this listing includes a donation to local projects in Ecuador, including the Cotacachi Scholarship Fund to encourage indigenous children to complete high school.

This necklace is gorgeous! It was a bit smaller / more dainty than I'd imagined. That isn't bad, was just a surprise. Really lovely.
