Description

This large hand-built stoneware pottery fern print crock can be used as a utensil holder or large vase. Fresh fern leaves were pressed into the clay and the impressions were hand-painted with a white glaze. The background is the natural white stoneware clay with a clear glaze over it.

It is a very subtle yet elegant design that was difficult to capture in a photograph.

In the secret language of plants and flowers, the fern is a symbol of good luck, health and protection.
