This is an add-on service I've been doing for my clients for awhile now and a brand new service not provided by anyone else to my knowledge. Hand-Crafting rings particularly soft precious metal rings such as silver and gold coin conversions, I tried to find a way to lengthen the lifespan of the art in my rings. Jewelers clear coat was always the common go to and I still to this day put it on nearly all the rings I make free of charge to my clients "BUT" what about those who have sensitive skin allergies but always wanted to wear copper jewelry or want to protect their purchase and help prevent scratches and dings? This may not be 100% when it comes to that but it sure does help!

I burn through my rings because I wear them daily while working with heavy machinery making them for my customers. My rings rarely last me more than 6 months on average but about 3 years ago I tested a special blend of transparent hypoallergenic powder coating that is applied through electrolysis and baked on in an oven at around 500F.

It took awhile to perfect the process without discoloring my rings but once I nailed it, I was excited! I tested it on my own rings first. I've since done this process for precious Krugerrand Gold Coin Rings, Signet Rings, Custom bands with soft inlays like wood, bone and antler and such.

The process is expensive for me to do and takes nearly a day labor but because it was a test run, I've only been charging my clients a minimal charge. For a short while longer I'll continue to keep the price here to build up hopefully some nice feedback/reviews and on top of that I'll guarantee your band, ring, bracelet or jewelry whether it's something you send me or something of mine you are upgrading for 3 Years! Natural dings or scratches can happen, this is not 100% as it's a thin transparent layer but it does help make it far more resistant (the original band I did for myself till this day is as new and good looking as the day I made it)! But if the powder coating comes off or your skin starts to color which is what this add-on is intended for, please return it to me and I'll refinish and re-apply the application free of charge (minus shipping). ▶ Hypoallergenic Powder Coating is a process by which the ring is powder coated in a clear permanent seal that unlike jewelers clear coats, lacquered or other will not yellow, peel or crack. If it does, you have a 3 year guarantee from the time of purchase to return it to be refinished or replaced free of charge (excluding shipping charges) limit one refinish/replacement.

While there are some very tough rings that can put up with a lot of abuse like Titanium or Tungsten, all jewelry regardless of price requires some common sense TLC and in most cases it should be a habit to remove your ring prior to taking a shower, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer or lotion, swimming or while working that requires heavy hand to machinery contact or anything that would simply be abrasive. If you have any concerns, simply ask about your specific ring and ask about our hyposealer which is an additional protective coating that can be applied to help protect and prevent oxydation.

I like the sparkle of the interior of the ring. However, with the 2mm ring, the sparkle is small in width; I was expecting it to go to the edge of the ring. I bought this ring to be my wedding band, but the color is not as bright as 14k white gold, so it does not match. I picked another ring instead. I may end up using this for my other hand... Or it may end up in the jewelery cabinet.
