A beautiful copper pan is a perfect addition to nearly any serious cook's cooking repertoire. Crafted in copper to give you complete control over your cooking, this elegant saucepan preserves all the extraordinary benefits and opulent aesthetics of copper and pairs with tin lining which gives a better heat conduction than stainless steel.

Copper pans have been used in the kitchen for centuries as copper is the best heat conducter:

Copper pans heat up more quickly and evenly (top + bottom) – which results in shorter cooking times and tastier food.

ADVICE - copper saucepans are best washed by hand - don't put in the dishawasher - always dry with a soft cloth immediately after washing.
ADVICE - take care when using copper pans - the handles may becom hot.
ADVICE - over time copper pans will naturally mellow to a dark, dull brown colour. If you wish to keep them bright and shiny, you will need to polish them regularly with a liquid copper cleaner and a soft cloth. Then wash in warm soapy water and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
ADVICE - copper pans are suitable for use on gas, electric, solid plate, ceramic and halogen hobs. They are not suitable for use on induction hobs.

Copper has played a significant part in the history of mankind, which has used the easily accessible uncompounded metal for thousands of years. Several early civilizations have early evidence of using copper. During the Roman Empire, copper was principally mined on Cyprus, hence the origin of the name of the metal as Cyprium, "metal of Cyprus", later shortened to Cuprum.
