Set of eight vintage art books, hard cover, please read item details

Nice set of eight vintage art books, published by Uffici Press, Milan, Italy, in the late 1960s. The books are small introductions to eight of history's greatest artists: Degas, Delacroix, El Greco, Goya, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec, Rembrandt, and Renoir. This is a sweet little set for display or reference. They books are small (6 7/8 x 7 1/4 inches) and filled with color plates and a biography of the artist and analysis of his art.

The books are hard cover, with color art on front and back. They do not have a publication date in them, but are from about 1968. The authors (shown on the photo of the spines) are Gaston Diehl, Denys Chevalier, Raymond Cogniat, and Helga Kuenzel.

The books are in good to very good condition overall. They have some edge and spine wear on the covers, as well as light dirt on some and a dent on one (Delacroix). Inside there is some light yellowing on the pages but no tears or other issues; the art still looks bright and wonderful. Most of them have very good spines and binding, but two (Lautrec and Renoir) have splits at the spine between the pages and fly leaf (but they still hold together well). Note that these are all part of the same series, but El Greco has a slightly different look on the cover and spine.

Size: 6 7/8 x 7 1/4 inches, 48 pp
