This lithograph offers London in my particular capriccio style published to celebrate some sporting highlights of the city including Olympic sites created for the 2112 games. In it I attempt to get the feeling of the whole city into my paintings by using important and unusual buildings and landmarks.

During the long process of creating one of my compositions events happen and some end up in the picture. For example protesters tents outside St Paul's Cathedral, the News International HQ in Wapping, broken oar in the Oxford and Cambridge boat race, also the Jubilee Pageant on the Thames.

Each new city painting I start with rough drawings, then the pencil composition followed by an inking stage and finally bring it to life with watercolour.

The original painting was scanned and run as a limited edition of 2112 prints, each signed and numbered by me, the artist. The image measures approximately 21 by 31 inches and has been reproduced using light fast inks on 300gsm acid free paper. A key to the landmarks and certificate of authenticity is supplied with every print.
