The Egyptians believed that the scarab beetle represented their sun god, Ra. Ra was the Egyptian god who rolled the sun across the sky and buried it each night. During this time, stone-carved scarabs were used as magical amulets, supposedly aiding its wearer with the power of "eternal renewal of life."

MY STORY________________________________________
I am a conservation biologist who creates museum quality framed insects that hope to instill some sense of wonder about the natural world. After working in various entomology departments throughout the world, I decided to create my own educational insect displays in order to follow my passion, educate others, and showcase the amazing creatures I love.

TRUE MUSEUM QUALITY DISPLAYS_____________________________
* Sealed (most insect displays are not).
* Made with archival materials.
* No dangerous fumigants.
* Comes with educational material related to the insect in the display.

Be careful of the allure of low quality unsealed insect displays because they will not last.

My insects come from sustainable conservation farms/ranches around the world. I do not sell rare, endangered or insects recognized as unsustainable (Dragonflies, Bats, rare beetles).
By linking environmental stewardship and economic development, butterfly farming positively impacts threatened habitats as well as human well-being. Currently used by conservation organizations, such as the Nature Conservancy and WWF, Butterfly farming helps save rainforest habitat by providing villagers an alternative income to agricultural farming and logging, which clears tropical forest. for more info Google "butterfly farming"
Since these displays are professionally made using UV blocking glass (so colors won't fade) and archival mounting boards - they can potentially last forever if treated with care. Most sellers are hobbyiest and DO NOT use UV glass or use proper materials - -and they will not last.
