Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat was devoted to Christian education. She founded the school and convent, the Society of the Sacred Hearth of Jesus. Her mission grew, and eventually opened foundations in twelve countries on two continents. Her feast day is May 25.

I made this rosary in her honor. With this rosary you receive the carrying pouch shown, it has a silver cross attached that I purchased at a second-hand store. I don’t know its background, but it has scratches, so I believe it was worn for a long time with great devotion to faith. You also get a saint card with Saint Madeleine quotes. The beads on this rosary are all glass. The Hail Mary Beads are a swirled purple and blue design. The Our Father beads are an electric blue bead. The beads are strung together with white hemp rope. This rosary hangs approximately 14”.

Half of the money earned from this rosary will be donated to men and women studying to become nurses in Africa.
