Description

Nintendo NES Power Glove Very Rare Desk Lamp Light Sculpture, Wearable, Poseable

"I love the Power Glove. It's so bad."
Nintendo Power is in your hand! or at least it can be with this unique, original, interactive desk lamp. This is the Nintendo NES Power Glove, one of the great NES accessories way ahead of its time. The Power Glove was even featured in the 1989 movie "The Wizard" starring Fred Savage. This glove along with sensors placed next to a TV would allow the player to use hand motions to play almost any game for the NES including famous games such as Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Super Glove Ball. This technology is only now being reintroduced with the Nintendo Wii and other modern systems using similar motion detection, and the Power Glove is nearly 30 years old!

I designed this lamp with the user in mind. First of all its wearable (how could it not be?). With minimal effort you can remove the glove from its mount and actually wear it. Putting on the glove feels like wearing something 30 years into the future rather than the past! It's the perfect accessory for an awesome gaming costume or just for everyday casual attire. Secondly, when the glove is on its mount the fingers and thumb can be bent and posed in various hand gestures. The mount itself is made from a recycled NES Nintendo motherboard and it still clearly shows the Nintendo logo and 1987 date.

There were 2 sizes of power gloves made medium and large, this power glove is a medium and fits young hands perfectly but is still wearable for most adults.

The lamp shade is included but can be easily removed.
Fits any standard size light bulb (up to 40 watt for the old incandescent bulbs or up to 13 watt for the new energy saver bulbs).
The overall height of the lamp including the shade is approx 19 inches tall.
The power cord is approx 50 inches long.
A fitting tribute to the awesomeness of Nintendo.
The perfect accent to any room. Great conversation piece!
Light bulb not included
Own and wear a very unique and very rare piece of Nintendo history!

Optional: You can include the American to UK, Hong Kong, European, or Australian Wall Plug Outlet Converter for an additional $4.00, as shown in the last photo.

FAQs:
Q: Why did you destroy all of these perfectly working video games, are you some kind of crazy person?
A: I only use non working video game parts in my creations. If I get a hold of something that works or if I can fix it easily then I will not make art out of it. The crazy part is debatable.

Q: What types of gaming systems/controllers do you use?
A: Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, N64, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Wii and Wii U, Playstation 1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast and others. Let me know if you want me to use a system or controllers not mentioned here, I can most likely find it.

Q: Where do you get all of the video games?
A: Rummage sales, auctions, and video game stores who want to get rid of their broken stuff.

FAQs

Custom orders are my specialty! If you have an idea for a build I can make it happen, send me a convo with your idea.
I am happy to accommodate gift wrapping and gift messages. I will do this in most cases for free. If you have a very specific request requiring extra supplies I will work with you for a fair fee.
Video game hardware, especially vintage games should be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid yellowing and other discoloration.
Yes I do offer wholesale pricing. Not everything on my site will be available for wholesale but many of my most popular items will be. Please contact me for details.
