Description

Keep your cast iron pans and skillets well seasoned and in top condition and performance with our CAST IRON CONDITIONING BAR. There's no mess, and no wasted, excess oil spills while you're trying to create a glossy smooth surface. Easily stored, the Cast Iron Conditioning Bar makes maintaining your finish simple. By keeping your cast iron in good condition in between re-conditioning, you can go longer without having to re-season your cast.

INGREDIENTS
Sunflower oil, Pastured lard, Flaxseed oil, Coconut oil, Beeswax
--->> Non-GMO and 100% soy and palm oil-free <<--
Sunflower Oil (Smoke Point 440 degrees)
Lard (Smoke point 370 degrees)
Flaxseed Oil (Smoke Point 225 degrees)
Coconut Oil (Smoke Point 350 degrees)
--------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS
Deep Seasoning: Warm your skillet in a 175 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Lightly rub the entire surface with the conditioning bar and then wipe off all of the excess oil that didn't soak in with a paper towel (or lint free rag). Season the skillet in a 425 degree oven for 2 hours. Turn off the oven and allow the skillet to cool to room temperature. Repeat as many times as necessary to make it well-seasoned.

Maintenance: Warm a clean, dry skillet on the stove over low heat. Lightly rub the entire surface with the conditioning bar and then wipe off all of the excess oil that didn't soak in with a paper towel (or lint free rag).

    Much much smaller than expected, and whenever I went to use it inside of my cast-iron pan the plastic casing around the oil melted all inside of my cast-iron pan, the design was not very well thought out, and these are not deodorant size, it’s not even close to that size, it’s very small. Now I have to re-wash my pan because it has melted plastic inside of it which is not food safe.

    You definitely heated your pans up way too much if it's hot enough to melt plastic. You should warm them up just enough to open up the pores. (I use my fingertips to work mine in.) All that heat melts and wastes more conditioner than you need for touching up between re-seasoning and will need all wiped off or worked in like a normal re-seasoning.
