Item details

Vintage from the 1970s

Length: 35 Inches; Width: 34 Inches

Beautiful 1970s, 1970, Hermes creamy smooth silk scarf titled "Le mors a la conétable" designed by Henri d'Origny. A traditional, equestrian themed scarf printed in golden yellows, turquoise blues and grays with white. The edges are rolled inwards and were hand stitched.

It measures 35" x 34" and it is in very good condition. It has one small dark dot / spot - see last photo and the hand rolled edges have, for the most part, flattened (even though they have a puffy appearance). Otherwise, the scarf is very clean, has no runs and appears to have seen little wear. Not bad for a 48 year old.

A dry cleaning with a reputable cleaner may be able to improve the puffed edges, but there is no guarantee.

Examples of the scarf in different colorways may be found in the HCSI Hermes scarf catalogue:

Scarf will be boxed when mailed to retain puffed edges.
