I took on this poncho having never actually knitted before. I have to say with the help of YouTube, this poncho knitted up like a dream. The pattern was super easy to follow. I made a few mistakes, but it was not the patterns fault. Highly recommend as it is super cute, and my toddler runs around telling everyone mommy made it and calling it her beautiful poncho. She gets so many compliments. I made it out of Bernat Velvet yarn in a cream/beige.

Just a little word of advice, the twist was a little difficult to figure out. It was my first time doing twists and I needed to watch a few YouTube videos to figure it out. Maybe a few more pics would help. I did appreciate the comment that mention to keep knitting even if it didn't look right which I did. Pretty headband.

I did like the poncho knitting pattern. I knitted it but the hood was huge. Tried to alter it a bit but didn’t do too well. The overall effect was super cute. Easy instructions.
