My variation on the Egyptian symbol of eternal life, this ankh is created from a willow twig just bursting into bloom.
The ankh was the Egyptian hieroglyph meaning 'eternal life'. It was used in writings, art, jewelry and is often portrayed in the hands of the gods.
Tiny buds rest gracefully along textured twigs. I made the mold from actual willow twigs then carefully bent and carved them until they assumed the desired form. This ankh is a little more organic and delicate, how I envisioned it would 'grow'.

Cast in sterling silver.
I have blackened the pendant then carefully polished it to bring up the texture.

I love both the front and back so well that I looped this on a 20" chain so it could flip back and forth. If you prefer it on a bail I have that option here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/60203844/ankh-sterling-silver-twig-pendant-with
I am making this pendant to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for me to make it. If you need it faster please contact me and I will try to work with you.

A large pendant, this ankh measures 2" long by 1 1/4" wide.

Due to the high value this ships with insurance and delivery confirmation in the US.
