Description

***HOLIDAY SHIPPING INFO***
These have been incredibly popular (thank you everyone!) but in order to meet demand, at this point all orders for this item will NOT deliver before Christmas. These will be shipped out in mid January, so please plan accordingly. These are all made to order, and with all of the items I'm currently working on for customers, I am looking at a 3-4 week time frame for these to be completed and shipped.

If you are ok with this arriving AFTER Christmas, I am planning to offer a small wooden placeholder token that I can mail out so that the recipient can have something that indicates they will be receiving a late gift, if you are interested in that option. (See final photo) Thank you for your understanding!

You're a DM, you need to be in organized, in control, and your gear needs to look the part. Forget those cheap cardboard screens, it's time to upgrade.

Each of these wooden DM screens are handmade. After many sessions of testing various options, I've come up with some really great and stylish ways to keep your information away from prying eyes, but to allow your necessary accessories to look like they belong in a fantasy world.

Each screen has 3 solid wooden panels: a 11 1/2" x 18" center panel and 2 hinged doors measuring 11 1/2" x 9". This is not plywood. Magnets are embedded inside at 4 key points to hold 4 full-sized sheets of notes, with 4 additional mating magnets supplied to attach them together. Decorative brass tacks run along the top and bottom rows of the doors and the center panel. The standard image is the iconic D&D ampersand, placed in the center, but you have the option to upgrade this in a few ways. Finally, for added detail, the edges are lightly torched and a coat of light golden oak stain adds to the warm, rustic nature of this magic item.

The following details are all included in the "fully loaded" version that is for sale here. If you'd like to order a custom screen, feel free to contact me directly and we can create a custom invoice.

-- Leather or wood trim along the entire top and bottom
-- brass hardware tacks in the leather or wood trim
-- 4 magnets embedded inside the panels for holding notes
-- 8 brass decorative corner details. These are triangular and approximately 2 1/4" wide and high
-- a metal latch or clasp for latching the doors closed when not in use
-- (2) wooden D20 cutouts, with "1" and "20" on them **OR** you can go with the Critical Role theme and have the 2 pieces shown in one of the images **OR** rustic iron gate hardware
-- an initiative tracker slot along the top of all of the panels, which come with (16) double-sided initiative trackers that can be marked on with dry erase pens (seriously, this is the best). 2 different colored dry erase pens are included.
-- 4 magnets to keep your notes pinned to the inside
-- upgradable image options (see last photo)

**** If you would like a custom image (up to 16" x 10"), please use these guidelines ****
- you will need to provide the image, unless you'd like me to do some design work, where an additional commission fee will apply. However, I can easily add custom text at no additional charge.
- vector images are ideal, but images in other formats will work as long as they are HIGH resolution.
- images can be applied to the wide center panel, or on each of the outside doors. Maps can be done on the center, or split on each of the doors so it completes the map when the doors are closed.
- keep the aspect ratio in mind: available space on the center panel is 17”x9” and on the doors approx. 8 1/2” x 9" (the leather trim is at the top and bottom). Because of this, designs for the center panel that are wider than they are high are ideal.
- there is no white ink, anything colored white on the image will show up as the color of the wood.
- the image transfer process takes on the aesthetics of the wood, and as such will have a worn look which won't be as vibrant as the original.
- It’s very important to understand this, so I’ll just repeat it: images will not be as vibrant as the original. They are mainly for visual appeal, so images like maps should be treated as flair rather than function.
- if you would like your own text on option A, B, or C please include it in the notes.

***JUST ADDED***
A third image option is now available! You can customize the text in the banner. Instead of leather, I am using oiled walnut strips for the trim, and have added rustic metal gate hardware elements to both the center panel and the doors. These are real metal pieces, not some knock-off or faux metal. You can still choose to have the dice or Critical Role cutouts on the doors, but I enjoy the consistency of seeing the decorative metal elements carry throughout each panel. Your choice of course.
To clarify: Option C has the banner image shown, walnut trim instead of leather, and 2 metal hardware elements on the center panel. Different options for the doors can be chosen.

FYI if you are curious about adding these hardware pieces to any of the other image options, they are approximately 6" long, which only leaves a little over 5" wide space in the center panel. The new image, option C is narrow enough in the center that it works well with the space. These metal pieces wouldn't work as well with the other options as the image is intended to be the dominant element.

You can now also choose to add the metal gate hardware to the doors in place of the dice or Critical Role cutouts, one on each door.

STRONGHOLD: upgrade your screen to resemble fortress walls and doors!

This DM screen is amazing! I've been keeping my eye out for a good one for a year now, and I'm so glad I found this one. It far exceeds many screens more expensive than it, and upon receiving it in the mail I was blown away by the quality. You won't regret purchasing this! I love mine!
