Before these books became part of this set, they were sitting on some lonely dusty book shelf being forgotten about, or in a box for years, decades, or a century, buried deep in the dusty corners of an antique store shelf. I have a passion for 19th century ornate hardcover books, specifically Henry Altemus published books, and EP Roe books. I've given them all a good temporary home, stored in sterlite containers in a climate controlled room, with moisture-absorbing silicone packs, until they go off to beautify their future homes :)

The Book Condition:
These book sets have been published in the late 1800s - early 1900s; they are over a century old. I am not a book dealer, and I do not grade books on condition, so I'm only describing them all as I see them. All of these books have implied wear from being over 100 years old, including discoloration, darkening, all have brown or browning pages, and are all a little to a lot dusty, and most of them have writing in them. The pics show more details if you enlarge them. I will not break up the sets, please don't ask. But, I may list an exciting individual rare book once in a while! :)

I attempt to touch these books as little as possible. I cannot flip through them all to count that every page is there, or inspect every flaw (please don't ask me to). There may or may not be missing pages that I have overlooked. Anything major will be noted below.

They are all about 4.25-4.5 x 6.25":

His Sombre Rivals: 1883
Writing on inside pages, loose spine.

Barriers Burned Away: 1892
Stained cover, spine slightly loose, still fairly solid.

Opening a Chestnut Burr: 1885
Spine is loose and separating, stained cover.
