Description

These are original crochet patterns inspired by our Australian koala. There is nothing cuter than a baby koala and these booties say it all! Designed by me in Australia, these koala joey booties are really lovely. They are an ideal gift for a special baby or little kid.

This pattern package gives crochet instructions for koala booties in 4 sizes using a variety of baby yarns and 8oly/worsted weight yarns.

(a) Newborn baby,
(b) Baby 3 – 12 months,
(c) Toddler 12 – 18 months,
(d) Toddler 18months – 2years,

Also includes 5 edge options, low cut bootie, simple bootie, lacy edge, fold down cuff and ribbed ankle band.

The pattern will come to you as a pdf file in Australian /British and American terminology. If there is any thing you don’t understand, just email me. Because I email you the file there are no shipping costs and I aim to deliver within 24 - 48 hours of payment.

Koalas are incredibly cute and cuddly and these booties are perfect bush babies and little kids. The nose and ears give a textured effect. The koala is a marsupial with a pouch and absolutely not a bear. One reason Koalas don't do well outside Australia is they eat mountains of gum leaves. They are true vegetarians and quite fussy eaters. Eucalyptus leaves are very fibrous and low in nutrition. Koalas have a very slow metabolic rate which helps them maximise the nutrition from the leaves. They have a tough life and sleep for up to 18 hours per day in order to conserve energy. My teenage son is a bit like this!

While I am happy for you to make these for personal use, gifts and charity fundraising, finished products are not to be sold on the web for charity, and not to be sold to make a personal profit.

I have used a considerable degree of right brain thinking and offer these for your enjoyment
