This award winning art quilt depicts a spawning sockeye salmon returning to the river of its birth. 2010 saw an historic run of sockeye returning to the Adams River, near our home in the Interior of British Columbia and all those salmon kept my creative juices flowing! As the salmon migrate from the ocean to the spawning river their bodies become very red and their heads become olive green . . . a stunning change in appearance.

This art quilt measures 19-3/4" wide by 28" high and is constructed using turned edge curved piecing as well as raw edge applique. The salmon has also been further enhanced by the use of dye sticks and oil paint sticks. It has a cotton quilt batting and has been densely quilted with free-motion designs. Click on the images to see more detail.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back and it comes with a dowel with eye hooks ready to hang easily from a pair of fine nails or even sturdy pins.

This art quilt is my original design and was made by me in my smoke-free, pet-free, fragrance-free home studio.

Overseas customers, please convo me for shipping costs to your country. If the actual cost of shipping is more than $2 less than I have quoted, I will refund that difference.
