Description

Heron or Egret with Fish in His Beak # 552

This glass panel is tabletop art that stands on its on. The front measures 11" tall by just under 6" wide. It's an "L" shaped piece that depicts a shorebird who has just victoriously caught a fish while standing in tall grass in the water. The front panel is several layers of glass fused together and has lots of color and texture. The bird's chest is made up of iridescent ivory pieces of glass that look like 'mosaic style' feathers. There's a bright yellow sun with artsy rays shining down on the scene. The leaves of grass are sparkling aventurine green that really catch light and shimmer. A fun piece, one of a kind. You can place a candle behind it to flicker at night.

I fused the glass in my kiln for 8 hours to set the design and then 22 hours on a mold to bend the back/base so the glass can stand on its own. It would make a great gift for a beach cottage, lake house or coastal home. The glass weighs 2-1/2 pounds before wrapping and boxing. It will be wrapped with care and shipped promptly, USPS Priority Mail.

Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions. You will be thrilled when you have it in hand.

Returns and exchange details

I strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Shipping policies

I ship within 2 days of payment, unless it is a custom order. In that case, we will agree on the timeframe at the time the order is paid for. Within the US, I generally use USPS first class with delivery confirmation and a tracking number for packages weighing 13 oz or less and Priority Mail for things weighing more. If you prefer UPS or FedEx, I can do that and recalculate shipping fees.

Postal insurance is recommended but optional for packages under 13 oz if art glass is the purchase. I pack with great care and use good packaging, foam peanuts and bubble wrap. If you forego insurance, loss or damage is your risk.
