I hand cut this cool gecko or lizard pendant on a scroll saw from 1/4 inch thick maple wood. I shaped it with a rotary tool and sanded it by hand to give it a carved look. I then finished it with a gel wipe on urethane.

The gecko has a small hole drilled in its longest front "toe". I inserted two large jump rings and hung it from a 24" long ball chain.

The gecko was designed by Deborah Nicholson and was published in Creative Woodworks and Crafts magazine, and is 1 1/2 inches high by 2 1/2 inches wide.
