Description

Cape Cod Sea Glass Spider

Beautiful Christmas Spider made with clear blown glass with Cape Cod Sea Glass inside from my many years of walks on Cape Cod beaches. The head is a pretty glass metallic green bead while the legs have many glass beads and silver toned spacers.
A fancy hook is included along with the Legend of the Christmas Spider.

All my art is my own.

The Legend of the Christmas Spider

Many Christmas Eve's ago a mother cleaned her house to a sparkling shine getting ready for Christmas Day. The spiders were banished to the attic.

After everyone went to sleep, the spiders crept down from the attic to play on their beautiful Christmas Tree.
When Santa came he saw all the white webs all over the tree and knew the mother would be upset at the site. Santa waved a hand over the Christmas tree changing the white webs into beautiful silver and gold strands shimmering against the tree lights.
This is why we use tinsel. Sue DeYoung Designs
