Solid Brass Coca Cola style 4" Santa Belt
When we were seeking to make the very best Coca Cola Santa Belt, we found that no-one was making a proper buckle. Responding to this need we have produced our very own Solid Brass Santa buckle and have used this exclusive buckle (WE are the only one who makes it) to build the extremely popular Coca Cola Santa Belt! This is a top-quality product and is made to last several lifetimes. As a craft made product it may have character marks reflecting the creation process.

Buckle Dimensions:
Outside dimensions: 5 7/8" wide by 5" long. Inside dimensions: 4 1/8" wide by 2 7/8" long. Weight: 12.4 oz.
Metric measure: Outside: 15 cm wide x 12.7 cm long. Inside: 10.5 cm wide x 7.3 cm long. Weight 350 grams.
How to order
We offer three options and many sizes.
Sizes: Built to fit YOU.
You can order one of these belts by selecting it from the menu along your "cookie zone" (belly circumference while wearing all Santa clothing and padding) measurement. We will build it so that the dimension you order will be the center-most hole of 7 giving you a fit range of 4.5" smaller and larger. (see below for more specific instructions)
Options: Complete Buckle Belt, Belt Strap Only, and Buckle only.
Complete Buckle Belt
The Belt will be a fully executed Coca Cola Santa Belt custom made to your measurements. We use high quality 10-12 oz. Black or Dark Brown latigo leather or Chestnut bridle leather with the quality to last for a very long time. We mounted the buckle using a pair of solid brass Chicago screws. We then further secure a custom-made keeper (leather loop to hold the tail of the belt in place) into a body curved slot with a second pair of the same Chicago screws. This level of crafting shows the insight and experience that we bring to the process of building this belt.
Belt Strap Only
All Construction details are identical to the Complete Buckle Belt, but we do not mount the buckle when we assemble.
Buckle Only
This is how you can purchase just the buckle. It's our very own design and is only available from DVA.
Length and Holes
How to choose length: We want you to order carefully and select a belt that will be a proper fit. So we'll ask that you measure your belly circumference measurement considering all garments and padding that will be worn thereunder and select a belt length from that measurement. Example: If you measure your girth at 58" then you would want to order a belt of 60", which is the next size up. We will be happy to hear from you with your specific measurement so that we can make a belt in just the right size so please message us.
We have different options for punching holes:
1) We can punch a specific range of holes from x to y inches away from buckle. This is the Recommended option for a finished belt.
2) We can punch no holes so that you can make them yourself when worn with garments thereunder. This is not for everyone but a crafty person with a proper punch might wish to choose this.
Recommended: 1.5" spacing from center of each hole to the center of the next hole. The girth measurement with spanned by the two holes shorter and three holes longer for a total of 6 holes.
For example, if your girth was 58", you'll want to order a Belly of 60". If you choose our "Recommended" practice, the first (innermost/smallest size) hole would be at 55" and then the following holes will be punched at 56.5", 58", 59.5", 61", 62.5".
How is the end of the belt shaped and finished?
The tip is the side opposite the buckle. We cut to the final size with a custom-made punch to produce a half round tip. We then finish the tip by beveling the edge, tinting, applying a coat of gum tragacanth and hand burnishing with a hardwood slicker.
We can finish with other tip shapes such as square cut, diagonal, or something else but the recommended tip is the standard half round.
Economizer option: We normally build complete belts out of longer straps in one piece. If you'd like to get a $20 discount, we can build a ring spliced belt for you making a long belt out of two smaller pieces by putting a solid brass ring at the junction. Just send us an etsy message and we can talk over the details.
