Tried them out for the first time fighting SCA Christian Style and great weapon. Light and VERY durable hand protection. I couldn't have asked for a better gauntlet and insane for the price. While some are off put by the idea of "barrel plastic", I find that with the light weight and very comfortable hand protection these provide does not deter me. I took a direct strike straight to the thumb and with gauntlets in the past I've had, my thumb would have been screaming. These on the other hand (no pun intended) protected it that I only saw the hit bit didn't feel it. Well done.
