2 sizes- Watercolor Print of a Nuthatch, from a painting by Laura Poss // 5x7 inches or 8x10 inches
Materials: watercolor paper, archival inks
This is a print of my original watercolor painting of a White-breasted Nuthatch doing his little Nuthatch thing hanging upside down on the tree. I love the way nuthatches walk up and down the tree while all the other birds say, "How'd he do that?" I painted this bird after a late winter snowstorm. Winter is my favorite time to watch, photograph, and paint birds!
Available sizes: 5 x 7 inches (12.7 x 17.78 cm) and 8 x 10 inches (20.32 x 25.4 cm). Please make your selection before adding to cart.
About the printing technique:
My prints are made using a technique called giclée (zhee-clay). They really look and feel like original watercolor paintings because my printer uses a super-fine spray of archival-quality ink to print on real watercolor paper. It also uses superior range of color and produces even blending, so there are no dots or visible signs of printing at all. All of my prints come hand-signed and numbered and placed in a clear protective sleeve. (Any picture frames or other props in the listing photos are not included with this purchase.)

Artist's Statement and Bio:
I create art because I am compelled to do so. The feeling I get from creating something that pleases my senses—and hopefully the senses of others—has held me in its grasp as long as I can remember. When I see something that captivates my eyes, I immediately start thinking about how to translate it into a drawing or painting.
I have been working as a professional artist for over 13 years and have been practicing drawing and painting my whole life. I am a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, where I currently live and maintain a studio. I also teach watercolors to students of all levels and love to share my deep passion for the medium with others.
I am incredibly honored to have sold paintings to collectors from around the world and to have received numerous prestigious awards for my work. Most notably, I achieved Signature Membership in the American Watercolor Society in January 2021, which is earned by receiving juried acceptance into 3 separate AWS International Juried exhibitions and is meant to be an indication of the painter having established a consistent style and to have demonstrated considerable skill in the medium. I am also a Signature Member of the Southern Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of North Carolina, and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society.

These are wonderful in every way! I will be buying more, for gifts.
This was beautiful and exactly what I was looking for as a special Christmas gift to my Mother. I lost 2 siblings to a hereditary renal cancer and each bird signifies each one of her children. She loved it.
