An nice pair of 6mm round faceted all natural genuine Czech moldavite (a tektite, a mineral formed when a meteor hit the earth near Moldova, melted terrestrial sand and melted meteor fused and was hurled up into the atmosphere where it cooled and fell back to Earth as a beautiful green gem) are set in a rope edged bezel post style earring setting and have wonderful all natural genuine Tahitian keshi pearls hanging (a keshi pearl grew naturally and was not seeded by man so it is solid nacre!). All solid sterling silver. I can make a matching necklace if you are interested, or you can see the two moldavite necklaces I currently have listed. All my moldavite jewelry comes with a tag explaining the origins of this rare gemstone.

As always, domestic shipping is free.

These earrings were partially designed by my eleven year old daughter who while I working one day said she wanted to make jewelry too. I showed her these ear studs set with the moldavites and showed her what I was thinking of hanging from them and she changed that all up and went with these Tahitian keshi drop shaped pearls. They may not look it in the photo, but she actually did a pretty good job matching them, in person they are actually quite close in size and over all color, especially for pearls that grew naturally with no direction or seed from humans.

With the exception of the 5x3mm ovals and the 2.xmm rounds, all the faceted moldavite gems I use in my jewelry actually started their life with me in the rough. Back when I used to exhibit my gems and jewelry at Tucson (the largest gem and mineral show in the world), I used to buy moldavite rough from a reputable Czech dealer who sold out of the Pueblo Inn show (the first location I used to exhibit at). I used to spend hours pawing through the boxes of moldavite he had in the price per gram range I could afford and pick out the best pieces for faceting. I then sent the rough moldavite to my favorite cutting house in Sri Lanka where I requested that they cut my rough into only the certain shapes and sizes I specified because that was what was best suited for setting into jewelry.
