This giclee print features a wool painting of that is part of my Orchard Birds collection. The original piece was made of needle felted wool. Needle felting is a process that involves poking loose wool fibers with a special barbed needle thousands of times until the desired shape or image is achieved. It's incredibly time consuming and tedious, but the results that can be made with fiber are incredible.

These giclee prints are presented on archival somerset velvet paper. The textured paper provides a beautiful printing surface and allows the texture of the wool and linen background fabric (from the original piece) to really shine through. Often these prints are mistaken for originals, since you can see the individual fibers of the wool. Each print is signed.

The prints are packaged with a sturdy backboard in a plastic sleeve and shipped in a rigid mailer.
