Send your imagery via a conversation here on Etsy. This will then be quality checked - if the image is not large enough for a quality print in the size you requested you will be notified prier to printing. If I spot anything which could affect the quality of your order, I will contact you to discuss the issue before pressing ahead.

Suggestions for your image: I would recommend having your image 300dpi rather than 72dpi. If your image is digital art it's much better when you are creating your digital art to start with a 300dpi canvas. That way you get the most detail in your prints as resizing after isn't ideal. If its a photograph use raw format on DSLR cameras or the highest megapixel you can get your hands on for standard cameras. I can help with conversion to jpeg if needed. Try to make sure the image is in CMYK rather than RGB, again this is to ensure your print looks as you intend. I can help with this if needed.

For Large format posters, best results require the file to be between 100dpi and 600dpi. Anything less may print with a pixilated ‘jagged’ look - Something that looks good on screen won’t always print to the standard you require, it is recommended that where possible you adjusted your file to actual print size you need (see sizes below). Files supplied at a different size to the size ordered will be scaled proportionally to the shortest measurement unless otherwise requested. To ensure you get the colour you want we will also check it is in CMYK, if it isn't I will convert it to the best Ican (read notes on colour). If you need any advice or help on the subject please feel free to contact me for a bit of advice.

A0 = 841 x 1189mm

A1 = 594 x 841mm

A2 = 420 x 594mm

A3 = 297 x 420mm

Notes on Colour:

Many graphics software programs give you the choice to work in either RGB or CMYK. These are called “colour spaces”. Scanners and digital cameras create images using combinations of just three colours: Red, Green and Blue (called “RGB”). These are the primary colours of light, which computers use to display images on your screen. Printers print full colour pictures using a different set of colours, the primary colours of pigment: Cyan (blue), Magenta (red), Yellow and Black (called “CMYK”). This is “4-colour process” or “full-colour” printing that comprises the majority of magazines and marketing materials you see every day. It’s Best If You do the RGB-to-CMYK conversion of your images if you can. You will have more control over the appearance of your printed piece if you convert all of the images from RGB to CMYK before sending them to us. When we receive RGB images, we do a standard-value conversion to CMYK, which may not be perfectly to your liking. We want you to be happy, so please, take the time to prepare your file properly. We cannot be responsible for sub-par results if you furnish your images in RGB. Even though monitors always use RGB to display colours, the colours you see on your monitor will more closely match the final printed piece if you are viewing them in the CMYK color space. Be aware that it is possible to see colours in RGB that you can’t make with CMYK. They are said to be “out of the CMYK colour gamut”. What happens is that the RGB-to-CMYK translator just gets as close as possible to the appearance of the original and that’s as good as it can be. It’s something that everyone in the industry puts up with. So it’s best to select any colours you use for fonts or other design elements in your layout using CMYK definitions instead of RGB. That way, you will have a better idea of how they will appear in your printed piece. If you are unable convert them yourself we will do it for you, tip: printing you item out on your home printer can give you an idea of how the colours can turn out.

Note on Viewing Distance and DPI:

How far the print is placed from the viewer has a direct effect on which print modes can give the best combination of cost, productivity, and quality for the application. A large format printing solution driven primarily by a misguided need for high printing dpi may be more expensive without offering image quality benefits to the customer. The actual dot size and all dimensions associated with dot characteristics appear smaller as the print is moved away from the viewer, and that argues that printing resolution must be matched to the viewing distance. The following table gives practical guidance on how to choose a printing resolution that produces high perceived image quality for various viewing distances and common applications. Typical Viewing Conditions and Recommended Printing Resolutions by Application

Fine Art:
viewing distance: 20" - 3 ft. Printing resolution: 1,200 dpi. Perceived resolution: 1,200 – 2,400

Small format prints, text, documents,technical graphics:
viewing distance: 20" - 3 ft. Printing resolution: 600 dpi. Perceived resolution: 600 – 1,200

Point-of-Purchase, Point-of-Display, Event Graphics:
viewing distance: 3 - 10 ft. Printing resolution: 300 dpi. Perceived resolution: 600 - 900

Directional signage, Vehicle wraps, Billboards, Building Wraps:
viewing distance: over 10 ft. Printing resolution: 150 dpi. Perceived resolution: 900
