All Natural Amish Recipe Laundry Soap, Essential Oils or Unscented

My 100% Natural and Biodegradable Laundry soap is handcrafted from an old-fashioned Amish lard soap recipe that was given to me by my mother-in-law. An Iowa farm wife who knows what it is to have heavily soiled clothes to clean, she taught me how to make this soap when I was a young bride. With a mechanic husband and two babies (diapers!) to do laundry for, I was thrilled to have this recipe because it is formulated to deeply, yet gently, clean your laundry.

After handcrafting the soap, I grind it and mix it with baking soda, washing soda, borax and your choice of pure Essential Oil(s). This finely powdered, non-sudsing soap is formulated to work in all water temperatures, but I personally like it best in warm water. It is safe for septic systems and works beautifully in top loading or front-loading HE machines. Use 2 Tablespoons for a top loader and 1 Tablespoon for an HE machine for normal size loads. If you have an extra-large load or heavily soiled laundry you may want to use a little more.

Please convo me to choose the Essential Oil Scent, if any, you would like added to your soap. You will find that the soap, including the fragrance, washes out completely leaving your laundry clean and fresh smelling naturally. Fabric softener is unnecessary but can be used if you choose to. I like to use 1/4 c. white vinegar in my rinse water (use less for front loaders) instead of commercial fabric softeners.

I first started making hand crafted soaps in the 1970’s when I was a young wife and mother. More than just a hobby, it was important to me then, and continues to be today, to provide my family with as many all natural, chemical free products as possible.

All of my soaps are made from scratch in small batches in my kitchen using the cold process method. I never use synthetic colorants or fragrances. There is NO Fels Naptha in my soap.

Soap will be shipped in a small Flat Rate Priority Mail box (holds one bag of soap). If you want a larger order please let me know and I'll create a listing for you with combined shipping using a medium (will hold up to 5 bags) or large (will hold up to 8 bags)USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail Box.

Thank you for visiting my shop!
