Description

This Phone bag has just enough space for your phone and ID, an Ipod or other music device, or ID and small set of keys. I designed this bag because I got tired of planning my outfits around how to carry my phone when I’m not carrying a purse. But others complimented this cute bag, so I started making them for sale too.

These little bags are great for
-morning walk
-quick trip to the store
-around the office or home
-girls night out
-nursing home residents
-passports

Any time you could use another pocket in your outfit!
This bag is made from wool suits and silk ties. As you use the bag the edges of the appliqued design will fray to add dimension to the design. This is intentional.

Features
) fully lined
) interfacing to add strength and retain shape
) velcro closure
) adjustable cross-body style strap, half-turned to lay flat to your body

Small Measures approximately 4.5-5.25”W x 5.5”H
Large Measures approximately 5.5”W x 7.5”H

If you need exact measurements please convo me.

Care: Spot clean with a damp cloth.
My menswear process:
First, I disassemble a jacket or pants, or both. I remove lining, padding, collar, zippers, and waistbands and carefully preserve functional pockets. I remove sleeves and separate legs, flattening each. Then I do the same process for 1 or 2 other suits with complimentary colors or weaves to the first suit.

Next, I lay my handmade sewing patterns out and plan how to maximize the fabric, while preserving interesting details such as pockets and buttons. At this point I am often laying out patterns for up to 8 bags at the same time, from the same menswear. I generally try to use the same suit in at least 3 different types of menswear bags, but I have a total of 7 sewing patterns which I use.

Once my plan is in place, I cut out all pieces for each bag, label the pieces, then move on to planning the lining. In the end, all that is left of the suit is scraps no larger than 1 inch wide.
ArnicArt makes beautiful handbags and accessories out of recycled clothing. All my designs are unique, and though there may be some that are similar, no two are the same. I often get a design idea when cutting up garments and am inspired by form, pattern, color, and texture. The challenge is to create a beautiful accessory that is one of a kind with as much upcycled content as possible. To that end, I use collage techniques and needle felting to layer fibers and create the design.

What is Needle Felting:
Needle felting is a technique in which I use a barbed needle to hand felt fiber into a larger piece of material. It allows me to essentially draw with fiber.

Care Instructions:

Fleece scarves
Machine wash cold, gentle, lay flat to dry.

Flower pins
Use a damp cloth to spot clean.

Wool bags
Use a damp cloth to spot clean.
If your bag begins to pill (balls of fiber that develop from rubbing, ie your bag rubbing your jacket as you walk, or your sleeves rubbing the sides of your sweater as you move. give the bag a worn look) gently shave it with a disposable razor. Yep! That's right, shave your bag. (Works on your sweaters too!)

Silk bags
Use a damp cloth to spot clean.

Wool insoles
Machine wash cold. Lay flat to dry, then iron. If they "grow" through use, trim them carefully along the edge.
