Description

This Ganesha Statue is made of solid concrete and has every element I've ever wanted in my favorite Hindu deity! I've been searching for a nice size Ganesh statue and so far this one is my favorite out of all the ones I have in my shop. The face is adorable, in one hand he has an offering bowl that will also hold a tea light candle AND in the other hand is the rat (Mooshika). The rat represents the mind. The rat is a symbol of our wants & desires which are never satisfied. The mind is always restless and wanders uncontrolled (just like rats do). We crave more and more and when left unattended these desires can grow out of control. The "rats" in our lives are the insatiable thieves who are gnawing into our sense of well being. Ganesha is the remover of all obstacles and shows us the way to overcome these desires that get in the way of a happy life.

☀ This beautiful statue measures an impressive 7.5" Tall x 4.5" Wide x 4.5" front to back and weighs over 5 pounds of solid concrete. Please see photos of it in my hand for size reference

☀ Ganesha is considered the "remover of obstacles" and every Ganesha statue displays sacred Hindu symbolism. If you would like to know a little more about the symbolism of this statue -- please look toward the bottom of this listing for more information.

☀ Handcrafted with my own special blend of concrete, each statue is hand poured and hand painted (by me) with special paints made specifically for outdoor statues and waterproofed with the best concrete sealer on the market

☀ If you choose to display your statue outside, it is perfectly normal for the sun and other elements to put normal wear and tear on it. Any type of painted statue (concrete, resin or ceramic) sitting in direct sunlight is likely to fade faster than one placed in a shady spot. If you live in a climate where there are freezing temperatures -- be advised you should bring your statues indoors for the winter months.

❤ ❤ ❤ GANESHA SYMBOLISM ❤ ❤ ❤

This particular Ganesha statue has the following symbolic attributes to give us spiritual reminders:

☀ Large Head: Think big, seek knowledge. The elephant is an animal known for its intelligence – Ganesha is the lord of wisdom and learning, who is invoked by every seeker of knowledge.

☀ Large Ears / Small Mouth: One chief form of concentration is to listen to others more, and talk less. This is symbolized by the huge elephantine ears and small mouth He sports.

☀ Trunk: The trunk of Ganesh symbolizes the importance of being efficient and adaptable in order to be successful in one's ventures. An elephant's trunk has the strength to uproot a tree as well as the finesse to pick up a needle.

☀ One Tusk: One of Ganesha’s tusks is broken. Legend has it that he broke off one tusk to write the great Indian epic, Mahabharata, recited by sage Vyasa. The broken tusk is also a symbol of his sacrifice

☀ Rat (Mooshika) represents the mind. The rat is a symbol of our wants & desires which are never satisfied. The mind is always restless and wanders uncontrolled (just like rats do). Ganesha removes these obstacles

☀ Bowl of Sweets in right hand: Ganesha has a sweet tooth, not only for sweet foods, but for the sweetest of all things – Moksha (spiritual liberation). The modaka, Ganesha's favorite treat, is a round sweet made of rice, coconut and sugar.

☀ Offering Bowl: The bowl in Ganesh's left hand is there to symbolize that the entire world, and all its choicest pleasures, are out there for the taking.

Shipping policies

Please keep in mind that my statues are not mass produced -- they are made when ordered & completed in the order that payment was received. All of my listings, your shopping cart and confirmation emails explain shipping time frames are approximately 10-11 weeks from date of payment received to date shipped. Custom items and Garden Gnomes can take a bit longer. It's not that it will take me weeks to "make a statue" -- my lead time must take into account how many orders I already have waiting in queue!

Any items I have that are READY TO SHIP quickly can be viewed by clicking the link below:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/PhenomeGNOME?section_id=15883997

If you intend to give the item you purchase as a gift -- many of my customers print a copy of the statue they order and include the item photo with the greeting card they give to celebrate the holiday or special occasion. This works very well because you still have something to give the recipient and you can tell them you are having a statue hand made especially for them.

SHIPPING METHODS:

Finding you the most economical shipping rates is part of my goal to maintain 100% Buyer Satisfaction. I use USPS Priority Mail, USPS Flat Rate and Federal Express

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

I am not doing any International shipping at this time.
