My latest line is titled "A Class of Their Own"

Somewhere along the way I made a left instead of a right turn and came up with these - here is another set fresh from the kiln. I will slowly post the entire collection. These are still functional as berry bowls but their design is abstract in nature and asymmetrical. I let the piece tell me what to do so this series will be of pieces that are all free-formed. No two is alike and the design will never be repeated.

The set is made of a my own mixture of white stoneware clay and white clay. The bowl has been altered to have 3 points at the rim. I carved circular and kidney bean shaped holes and indentations into the berry bowl. The glaze is a fern green. The handle is one strap that loop up and splits in two to anchor onto the inside of the bowl. This would make a great bowl to enjoy berries for one. The dish is quite handy for catching water runoff.

Bowl: 6.5" rim to handle, 6" diameter, 2.5" tall
Dish: 5.5" diameter, .75" tall
