I stabbed myself while making the cute kitty set!!! Completely my fault, but these are great needles. I'm just a beginner but these are a nice set of needles!!!

Smaller than I thought! The mat is like sturdy plastic Styrofoam, and the needles come with a small piece that holds them together for storage. I give it 4 stars though because it took a month to deliver, which was longer than anticipated. Still happy with the purchase!
