Pottery communion set, wheel thrown by Robin and glazed in a soft white - almost an eggshell shade. Thrown in two pieces and joined while damp, they fuse together when bisque fired and again when glaze covers them in the second firing. This goblet is strong and sturdy - yet light in weight for stoneware!

The chalice holds approx. 1 and 1/4 cup, stands 7 to 8 inches tall and is 3 and 1/2 inches across the rim, 3 and 1/2 inches across the base, and less than an inch at the thinnest point of the stem. The stem has an open cross carved into it (the flash in photographs lightens the inside, which is generally a dark area).

The paten is a plate measuring approx. 9 inches across and nearly 1 inch tall. The glaze is soft and smooth to the touch.

This set would be a beautiful church communion set, personal or wedding communion set. You can have the bottom of the paten engraved with verse, wedding date and names of the bride and groom, church name, etc... Email the information you would like engraved on the order form under messages.

It will take 6 to 8 weeks to create and fire your set twice!
