Description

The moon phases in your pocket, to remind you to look up into the night sky. Truly painted by my own hands in layers of rich oil enamel. I paint two layers of black, followed by deep gray base spheres for each phase. Shades of gray to white are blended to create the glowing transition for each moon phase. Honestly, just getting the circles circular is the hardest part!

The compass does indeed point north, with slightly varying degrees depending on where you are standing and what affecting metals are nearby. Take it hiking. Yahoo!

MATERIAL:
The compass is solid brass, which I source from California. I add the painting in oil enamel. The compass measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/4", and is 5/8" deep when closed. It has a solid, snug hinge, and an indentation for opening with your finger. There is an exterior knob that holds the needle inside still when not in use.

SHIPPING:
All packages via USPS, and come wrapped in tissue paper in a small kraft box with ribbon. Domestic packages come with tracking and insurance. International parcels do not have very reliable tracking once they cross the border, and are only insured if pre-requested. Please note parcels may incur import fees depending on the customs office of your home country.

FAQs

I make a very limited amount of custom orders as I am able. Custom pieces require more time for discussion of the design via convo, painting, and conclusion, and are therefore more expensive than ready-made items listed in my shop. Custom orders are often wait-listed, and take approximately 2 weeks to create once begun.
