ITEM/DESCRIPTION:
Handmade, original folk-art painting by Bonnie Grilli of Lancaster County Pa.
Painting features Noah's Ark and the animals in the colorful, naive, and whimsical style of the artist. Noah waits at the top of the hill by his ark as the animals gather two by two...

The painting was executed on a large piece of irregularly shaped old barn-board, and is "framed" in deep red and black. Wired at back and ready to hang.
Signed lower left corner: "B. Grilli Painter"
Acrylic on wood board.
I think this painting dates from the early 1990's, since I've seen a few of the artist's works on similar boards that were done in the early 90's.

This folk-art painting would look wonderful and add color and texture to a rustic/cottage/cabin setting.

Bonnie Grilli is well known for her stylized, acrylic paintings of animals and cheerful depictions of simple country life. Investigating this artist, I found that she paints her work on old cupboard doors, wood planks and shutters, and always "frames" each work as part of her painting. She loves color, animals and movement, and has no regard for perspective. Bonnie is self taught.

Her paintings bring a smile to all who view them. Her work was also featured on HGTV's Endless Yard Sale a few years ago..
Works of this size usually sell from $350 or higher.

PLEASE NOTE: The name of this item in the listing is my name for it. I don't know it's original title.

DIMENSIONS:
35" x 13.5" and 1" deep.

CONDITION: Very good condition. This is a rustic, primitive folk art painting done on weathered barn-board, so it has all the unevenness and character of that board. The painting is vivid and unmarred. No damage.
