Returns & exchanges

Ordering online can be tricky, and I know that bra fit is extremely important. If you feel that you should have ordered another size, send it back and we'll get you the right fit. Or, if the fit of VAVA bralettes just isn't for you, simply return it. Bralette exchanges and returns are welcome (custom orders excepted).

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the product, I cannot accept returns or exchanges on panties.

If you are ever dissatisfied with the quality of construction or materials of any VAVA item, please let me know & I will resolve the issue immediately.

Shipping policies

Shipping is USPS First Class, or USPS Priority if you choose to upgrade.

International orders are sent USPS First Class, and take on average 3-6 weeks from the time they are shipped to reach their destination, but can take longer depending on your location and your country's customs processing. Please allow for this time from when ordering.

If you would like to insure that your package arrives earlier, please select International Priority shipping, which ships to most counties in 6-10 business days.

Fibers & Sustainability:

Most of our materials are surplus fabrics, excess yardage bought up by middlemen called “jobbers” from larger manufacturers and mills at the end of their production cycle. This is actually a really common way for small brands and independent designers to source materials, because they can’t meet the production minimums of large fabric mills. For us, this means the opportunity to source some of the best laces on the market despite our size, and to make sure those materials are sewn into something beautiful instead of winding up in a landfill.

As we grow we hope to be able to source materials from recycled and/or naturally derived fibers. We are in the process of learning about lace production and fiber sustainability, and making connections with forward thinking, innovative mills that we hope to work with in the future.

However, there is no “sustainable” way to produce clothing on the scale that we have been. Above all, our commitment to sustainability is expressed in our commitment to quality. We aim to make pieces you want to wear everyday, and that are up to the challenge. We aim to contribute something of substance, to help you build a wardrobe of quality, not quantity.

A note on fit & body types:

Every company tests the fit of their garments on someone; this person is called a fit model. Vava's fit model is a lady with hips! This means that our undies will look extra fantastic on you if you have an hourglass or pear-shaped figure, or hips larger than your waist by 10" or more. Vava underwear looks great on women of any build, but everything is made with someone's body in mind, and it's good to know how similar that body is to yours.

Although our bralettes are test fit in a wide variety of sizes before they are available for sale, the fit model for the initial designs is 5'6" and wears a 32D.
