Description

Faces Of Africa
Check out this gorgeous antique German Chromolithograph of some Africa's native people from long ago.

Faces Of Africa might make you plan your next room makeover around this breathtaking antique illustration from Germany.

The bold and graphic details in this full color, sharp as a tack lithograph from the turn of the 20th century in this beautiful cultural anthropologist study are simply amazing.

Printing of this quality and detail is a long lost art-form I'm afraid as full-color lithography print making is an amazingly slow and time-consuming process; one far too costly to pay an artisan to do in these times.

Faces Of Africa measures 6" x 9.5" and is in glorious condition, captured in vibrant shades of sage green, warm brown, cream, russet, black, and taupe... all done in the most costly chromium inks available back in their day.

This gorgeous antique lithograph is smooth and flat with crisp edges and corners and no tanning at all... remarkable condition for 114 year old paper!

Matted and framed and displayed as a grouping, these fascinating old natural history prints are simply spectacular. (Please note that the framed examples in the last photo are to show how this might look when it's framed. This print will come to you unmatted and unframed.)

I'll send this fine old beauty to you by way of the USPS packaged flat and protected in a rigid mailer.

Surrender Dorothy offers an outstanding collection of frame-worthy antique prints, maps, charts and illustrations to adorn every room in your happy home. Terrific vintage finds for your workplace too.

Cashier's Checks and Money Orders are okay too but only if they are received within four days of your order, otherwise we'll cancel the order and put the item back up for sale.

We BEG you guys, Please... If your Etsy Address and PayPal Addresses are different, please please let us know where you would like us to send your package. We have a real talent for choosing the wrong one.

Returns & exchanges

Returns
We are happy to accept returns in good condition in the original packaging shipped within 48 hours as exchanges only and you agree to pay postage both ways.

Damages In The US Mail.
They happen sometimes.
Although we carefully wrap our vintage breakables in tons of bubblewrap and tons of padding and pack them in sturdy shipping boxes, damages still sometimes happen. *sigh*
Please tell us about damaged goods ASAP. Photograph the damages and send photos to us so that we can work it out with USPS.

Shipping policies

We ship by way of the United States Postal Service only.
Yes, FedEx and UPS are a little bit cheaper, but we find them to be very brutal with our delicates and breakables, so we refuse to play with them.

International Orders
The answer is YES we do ship internationally. Please just ask! There are many shipping destinations on this planet and each one is a slightly different price.

Additional policies

While it is considered customary for many antique and vintage shops to consider offers and dicker prices, our shop simply doesn't.
We've priced our merchandise as fairly as humanly possible. Please don't ask us to haggle.
Thank you.
