Description

Each silk 5 inch square prayer flag has been hand printed, on both sides, with my original design and the group is strung on black nylon cord between little brass bells.

The Polar Bear, Tiger and Panda Bear, all on the endangered species list, share a crisis in their loss of habitat. As our human population increases, with the inherent need for more space, and with ever expanding industrialization, our planet heats, and the diverse and lovely animals we share this planet with become more threatened. These prayer flags have been created to speak to the union of all life as important; to be loved and protected.

Mama Polar Bear with Cubs:

"Love is All Baby!"
This nursing mother pours out her love to her little cubs, reminding us that we are born in the light of love and die in the light of love and, if we are lucky, connect throughout our lives to this energy of love that keeps this sweet little planet breathing.

The Polar Bear is encountering an ever decreasing ice world, their natural habitat. The dark ocean, the melting tundra releasing stored methane and carbon dioxide, stirs my heart with concern for all life. Awake, awake!

Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright

In this year of the Tiger, the www.worldwildlife.org is dedicating the next 12 years to creating tiger awareness as, these largest of all Asian big cats, are one of the most culturally important and beautiful animals on this planet. However, they are also among the most vulnerable and threatened species on Earth.

Master Panda Bear

The China Bear design, sitting, dreaming, eating bamboo, was inspired by the Panda, who represent all endangered wildlife for the World Wildlife Fund. Pushed higher into the mountains of China, and into smaller areas, these bears often confront the flowering and then dying bamboo with less options to move to other areas. Oh my!

The Dalai Lama compassionately prays:

“For as long as space endures,
and for as long as living beings remain,
until then may I, too, abide to dispel the misery of the world.”
