*** We build custom framed mirrors ***

• The white limba tree origins in west Africa and is a beautiful, dense and strong wood that naturally is a pale yellow-brown or straw colored with dark thin grain marks and an occasional knot. [Please note - that we buy this wood from sources that harvest wood responsibly].

• Although the natural wood is beautiful, we felt that limba had just the right attributes to create a finish that was a bit more aggressive than the browns and blacks that are more typical for our shop. Recently, we introduced a moss green dyed frame from this wood - which you can see at this link to our shop ... http://www.etsy.com/listing/45608592/new-moss-green-dyed-limba-framed-mirror. The moss green is dark enough, but spectacular enough that we felt it would work well for some home decors without being too aggressive. So, we felt that we could add one more finish using the same approach - which is the thinking behind this merlot dye stain framed mirror. The finish is a dark cherry red, almost dark purple - very much like it's namesake - merlot wine. So, while the red / purple is not overwhelming it creates a beautiful accent color for home decors that need a bit of red or purple to tie-in to the existing color palette.

• This mirror would make a great addition to your living room, bedroom, powder room, or foyer. The natural tone of the framed mirror also works well in a bathroom or over the fireplace mantle. You could also consider obtaining 2 or 3 to create a repeating design theme - especially if you have a large space you are working.

• The piece is constructed by joining the mitered 3-1/2" wide x full 1" thick frame with pocket hole screws (very sturdy), insetting a 24" x 30" mirror into a notch, gluing the mirror in place, and putting a 1/4" plywood backing in place. The frame has been sealed with a clear top coat to protect the piece and to give it durability. The pictures show the frame in landscape orientation (long dimension running horizontally) - but, custom designs are available and mounting orientation can be specified when you place your order.

• To make your life easier - we will send you separately a strong, simple wall hanging system - the Hangman Wall-DogTM Hanger. This system is easily installed with only a Phillips head screwdriver and it consists of an aluminum hanger that is attached to the wall by a special Wall-DogTM screw (mounting instructions included). So, no fuss about finding the centerline of your wall stud - just screw in this hanger and drape the frame's mirror wire over it and you're good to go.

• Also, this mirror can be custom built, to include - different outside frame dimensions, different frame widths, and different frame finishes. Just contact us at this link http://www.etsy.com/convo_new.php?to_username=natureinspiredcrafts and we will respond quickly.
