Ceramic Vase - Flower Vase - Wedgewood Blue - Handmade Vase - Wheel Thrown Vase - Stoneware Vase - Pottery Vessel

This blue ceramic flower vase is handmade of white stoneware clay and is wheel thrown in my own studio. The texture was created by adding sodium silicate to the piece while throwing it. Then it clay is stretched to the shape giving the crackling texture. The roses and leaves were sculpted by hand and added after the piece was trimmed. It is glazed in a translucent blue, with white roses and green leaves. It was fired to cone 10 in a reduction environment.

It measures 5 inches high and 4.5 inches across.
