These buttons are handmade from the branches of a Yew tree. The branches were collected after a storm some years ago and were then left to dry.

Yew has a beautiful two-tone color, a darker inner wood, and a lighter colored sapwood. Each slice reveals a different look. In some cases, one side of a button can look completely different to the other where other smaller branches were growing out from this branch.

The buttons range in size from about 3.5cm (1 1/2") to about 5cm (2") in diameter and are about 1cm thick. The bark, which was flaking off anyway, has been removed and the edges and face sides sanded smooth and rounded over.

Each button has two 4mm holes.

After being sanded the buttons were sprayed with a lacquer to give a hard finish.

These buttons are great for someone who loves to create their own knitwear, they look great on knitted jumpers, cardigans, scarfs or even on bags to name just a few items, what you decide to do with them is up to your own imagination.

The buttons are sold in pairs of two, however, both buttons will not look the exact same they are after all a 100% natural product, however, they will be of near enough the same diameter.

If you return something you're responsible for the cost of return shipping, and if the item shipped with "free shipping", the actual cost of the original shipping label won't be refunded. Please contact me before sending things back to see what your actual refund amount would be in those cases.

Unfortunately, if the post office marks the package as delivered, I have to take that as proof of delivery, and refunds will not be available. It's the customer's responsibility to provide a secure delivery location.

If this does happen, check with anyone who may have picked up the package and brought it in. After that, check with neighbors, or look around your house to see if the mail carrier left it in an inconspicuous area. After that, check with the post office in person to get the GPS reading from the delivery scan (for deliveries with a tracking number). In the case of stolen packages, you should file a stolen package report with the police and the post office so that they can track patterns of theft in your area.

Some items in my shop are marked as "free shipping" This is achieved by using the lowest cost standard postage rate available by the Irish post office "An Post" for that particular item and does not always include a tracking number.
Free shipping means that the cost of postage has been included in the price of the item. A tracking number will only be included if the total amount of postage paid covers the additional cost of a tracking number for that delivery.
The Irish post office charges an extra €7 on top of the standard post for a tracking number.
