20 Colorful Sandcast Beads, 8x10mm, 2mm Hole, Large Hole Beads, African Glass Beads

Size: about 8mm x10mm, handmade so some variations
Hole size - 2mm
Color: Blue, Green, Brown, Yellow, Tan, White, Red

You get 20 random beads from those shown in the picture. As they are handmade, there are slight variations - the picture is representative of the beads you receive.

The process of making these beads is unique to Africa and has been used for over 1000 years. Pulverized glass of various colors is poured into a clay mold, using a cassava stem for the bead's hole. The mold is placed in a furnace and heated until the glass particles congeal without actually melting and the stem burns out. The Ghananians have been making beads in this manner since the 1600s.

Flat rate shipping for all US orders of beads and small items - some tools and heavy items have higher shipping cost.
