Description

Hanging Cocoon Sling Stork Pouch Knitting Pattern in 3 Sizes

PLEASE NOTE: This is a set of instructions, not the physical object. Once you have paid, you will receive an email with instructions for downloading your pattern pdf, along with 2 other files:
1) yarn and needle terminology and equivalents
2) newborn photography and digital editing tips

A confident advanced beginner can knit this. I provide advice and links to websites that have free videos for skills that may be new, such as knitting in the front and back of a stitch and working simple decreases.

Many thanks to several smart photographers who have made cocoons from this pattern: to Bronwyn in South Africa for the wonderful shot using the medium size for a smallish baby (seen in the bottom two shots.) Have a look at her work at www.imagesoftheheart.co.za. Also thanks to Kimberly, who supplied me with an adorable picture of her own little sweetie, Ally (9 pounds) in the cocoon she knit herself (the one with the paisley background.) She used the largest size and Bernat Harmony Solid yarn. You can see some more wonderful baby photos at Kimberly's blog: kimberlywoodphotography.wordpress.com. The black and white cocoon was made for Stacey Potter of www.boulderbabyphotography.com. Her amazing photo was achieved with baby lying down on a black fleece blanket over a beanbag, with dad pulling on the top to simulate the stretch of a hanging position!

The pages need to be numbered and I find the pattern confusing. But otherwise works fine.

File delivery
Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed. Here's how.

Payments

Secure options
  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
I accept credit cards, Etsy gift cards, and PayPal as instant payments.

If none of these work for you, I will also accept a US check or money order by mail.
I'm sorry, but no Canadian checks or money orders. The fees to process them cost more than their face value, usually.

Returns & exchanges

I do accept returns on knitted items if returned immediately, but I cannot refund the shipping fee you pay to me, nor the money you pay the post office to send it back to me.

Additional policies

I welcome questions about custom orders.
