This pretty pendant, one of my most popular pieces, is based on the design that is on the well cover of the famous Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England. Glastonbury is rich in history and mysticism. It is the site of the legendary Isle of Avalon. I took a trip there in 2006 (that's me kneeling behind the well cover in the 4th picture), and knew right then that I needed to make an etched pendant with that beautiful design on it.

At the center of the design are two intersecting circles known as the vesica piscis. This is a sacred geometrical symbol which represents the union of spirit and matter. It is a symbol of the feminine divine.

Deeply etched and then cast in sterling silver, this thick pendant is domed and oxidized for depth and detail. It measures 3/4" and hangs by a hidden bail on a 16" oxidized sterling silver chain.
